We'll meet at Hilyard Community Center and each participant will have an opportunity to hand build a wooden bird feeder. We'll have plenty of help for each kid and an opportunity to work with hammer and nails, glue etc. Each person will leave with seed for their feeder as well. At our third summer session we will meet at Alton Baker Park where the kids will have the opportunity to try their hand at paddle boarding followed by a catered family picnic We will meet on the North Side of the street, at the Prefontaine trail head just to the left as you cross over the bridge. This was one of our most popular and well loved events last year. We're doing it again with room for more families and a later return home time so we don't miss any of the fun. We will leave Hilyard Community Center at 1:30 and head to the park. The City of Eugene's Adaptive Recreation Department has invited us to participate in their annual pool party for the third year. This is an invite only and you must RSVP to MIL so we can pay your families fee for entry. Bring your picnic dinners, suits and towels. The Mama I'm Low youth have been invited to attend a Ducks Game! We have a limited number of tickets which will be reserved on a first come first served basis. A special event for T1D tweens & teens (11 & up) and their friends! Mama I’m Low is sponsoring a Challenge Ropes Course adventure day for teens with Type 1 Diabetes and their friends and/or siblings. This full-day event is designed for community building and leadership development and is run by trained Eugene Parks and Recreation staff.
